Annie's Babies
Are they not the cutest things in the world? (And if you don't agree, don't bother saying anything...) This is the male...
Definitely trouble on the hoof...or on the paw, as it were...
This is the female...she has her mother's sweet face (yes, they really do all have individual expressions and features). Let's see if she gets her affectionate personality too...

Last night, I watched "Shrek II" for the first time. A character called "Puss in Boots" has this tactic of looking incredibly adorable, like "Annie's Babies," and when everybody's defenses are down, he ATTACKS!
I'm not fooled by the siren-song of Annie's Babies!

Well...you've met my cat Tsavo, right? He IS Puss y Boots, by way of Shrek II...
but he's still the cutest thing in the world too!

Could there be anything cuter? People babies just don't measure up, do they?

Yeah, those are cute all right--but one day they could grow up to make me Roy Horn, and that wouldn't be so cute.

Well, Blake, since these aren't performing animals - they're part of a worldwide captive breeding program to prevent extinction of the species - it'd be hard to have 'em do a Roy Horn on anyone! Although I've gotten some nasty hickeys from one of our PR cats, an ocelot named Rico...
And no, FT, cute doesn't equal safe, but the danger factor doesn't negate any of the cuteness! CUTE, says I!

And I wish to hear more of this pup named Snappy...

Wow, that is awesome! It is amazing that you are entrusted to making sure a species stays alive. You obviously love getting up for work everyday--something I wish I could say about being a marketing lackey.

I wish I worked there every day! I'm a volunteer at EFBC - I used to go out several times a week (about an hour and a half drive from my old home in Glendale), but now that I've moved to San Francisco, I can't go nearly as often...but yeah, I got more satisfaction out of my volunteer work there than I ever have at a day job... But yeah, it was, is, and always will be amazing to me that I've been able to be a part of the species preservation program...never thought I'd be thrilled to be allowed to rake up cat shit!
